  1. A regression model was fitted for each region separately, and for all of them pooled (“All Regions”). DF is the degrees of freedom used in the analyses, R2 is the percentage of dependent variable explained by the regression model, and ANOVA is the F tests of the regression models with their corresponding significance values denoted by asterisks (***P < 0.001, **P < 0.01, *P < 0.05). Beta is the standardized regression coefficient; the associated probabilities (see asterisks) were calculated by a t-test. The residuals of the previous model were used as a dependent variable in a second regression analysis (see right columns) where the independent variable was religiosity (DUREL)
